My wife recently bought me Toby Mac’s Christmas CD (This Christmas Joy To The World). It’s only a two-songer, but one of those two songs has given me inspiration for a new ministry endeavor.

“This Christmas” is a psuedo-rap ballad that only Toby could pull together; telling the story of a nine year old boy who has been orphaned. A generous family has taken him in for the Christmas weekend, shown him hope and maybe a new perspective.

The ministry vision that was inspired from this song is something that I’ve envisioned being called 365Christmas.

Christmas is the greatest time of year (in my opinion), but why should most (some don’t at all) of humankind wait until the end of the year to start acting and doing nice things for others? I mean, Christmas may be the time of year that we celebrate the birth of Christ, but He lives all year long!

I don’t know, maybe I’m off my rocker. Your thoughts?
