I just purchased a new USB cable for my digital camera from Fujifilm’s Online Mall. Everything was smooth and easy, but when I got to the receipt/confirmation page I noticed something I have never noticed before. There was a SMALL disclaimer right above my order that said:
This receipt of order does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell.
Is this a common disclaimer? So, you provided products on your web site, and I provided you with my credit card information. But, after receiving my credit card information, you tell me “this does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute our … offer to sell?”
Does that seem right to anyone else? Has anyone else seen something like this … or been screwed by something like this?
