Remembering :: Mike Fann
He was a career military and police serviceman having bravely served multiple tours and deployments in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq where he earned numerous medals and awards including Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, RVN Gallantry Cross; and retired as USAFR Senior Master Sergeant. Mike also served the community over 30 years in the Raytown Police Department and as a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Mike loved spending time with his grandkids, telling stories, and jokes. He was an avid gun enthusiast, prided himself in having a manly truck, and was meticulous about wrapping Christmas presents with military corners.
He was preceded in death by his wife Deborah Fann; father Robert C. Fann; mother E. Louise Fann; brother Paul A. Fann.
He is survived by three children: Jennifer, Melissa and Matthew; six grandkids: Taylor, Jordan, Morgan, Reagan, Arthur and Emma; beloved puppies Izzy and Molly; as well as countless loved family members, nephews and nieces, in-laws and outlaws, fellow veterans and brothers in blue who will all miss him greatly!
